The short answer is they don’t! Our homes look and feel the same as a conventional bungalow with all the mod cons you would expect, such as double glazing, gas central heating and broadband. The difference between the two is in the way they are built. Homes are constructed off-site  using a steel or timber frame. The exterior finish provides an attractive and weatherproof exterior. All new residential park homes are upgraded to specific requirements to meet the British Standard BS 3632 Specification for Residential homes and Residential Lodges so you can rest assured they are built to the highest safety standards and specifications taking into account stability, ventilation and energy efficiency.

Yes! You can live in your home all year round with absolutely no restrictions. We are a full time residential park so the property that you purchase becomes your full time main residence. We know this can be a worry as some other parks only have a holiday license so there are restrictions on how long people can stay in their homes and they have to find somewhere else to go for the rest of the year. This is not the case with Hathaway Park. You can stay in you home all year round with no worry and no restrictions.

When you have chosen your home, you will be amazed at what you get for your money. All of our park homes are built to the highest specification. Your home will have gas central heating, double glazed windows, pitched roofs and can be supplied fully furnished. Telephone and broadband facilities are available if required. Homes come with your own designated plot with garden area and space for outside seating. private blocked paved driveway, fully landscaped manageable garden with turf and shrubs. A storage shed or greenhouse can be put up as long as it meets Park standards. By working with the top industry manufacturers, we can create your dream home to order, ready for the plot of your choice. In addition to the choice of their standard ranges you can also opt for a bespoke home where you choose the furnishings and fittings, and even help determine the layout of the home to suit the way you live.

We realise how important security will be for your peace of mind and that of your new neighbours. Our park is safe and secure for the benefit of you, our new home owners.. The park is in a secure gated community with electric gates to limit access to people exclusively staying on this new development.

The price of your home will depend on the model of home you request as well as the furniture and soft furnishings that you purchase to go in your home. There are a wide choice of locations. A plot can be secured with a deposit, and you can then decide upon the exact model of home you wish to place on your plot.

Home owners pay a ground rent to the park owners for the plot on which their home is sited. This is usually charged on a monthly basis and covers the running costs associated with the business including maintenance of the communal areas and landscaping, roads and such factors as security and electricity for streetlights, sewage and maintenance. Other costs are much the same (or slightly less) compared to living in a bricks and mortar house: Council Tax is lower in a home as they are classed as Class A band. Modern park homes are built with energy efficiency in mind, so energy costs are generally lower than a traditional house. Other services such as telephone line, satellite TV are purchased directly from suppliers such as BT.
